We are thankful for the blessing of God on our Eastwind family and we rejoice with those that have been baptized and Spirit filled recently.
We wanted to let you know that amid the spike in COVID-19 cases in our area one person who recently attended our main services on June the 21st and 24th has tested positive for the virus.
The person that tested positive was (and is still) asymptomatic and had tested a few days earlier with a negative result. This person showed no signs of being sick and no fever upon entering the facility. The people who had limited contact with this individual have tested negative.
In spite of these promising results we want to err on the side of caution. To this end we are going to limit our Wednesday night and Sunday night services to just online programming for the next two weeks. June 28th to July 8th. We have another great line up of special speakers and singers.
We will continue to have our Sunday morning services live and in person at 8:30am and 10:45am. We will cancel Sunday School at 10:00am on Sunday morning. Doors will not open until 10:15am for the 10:45am service. This will allow us to sanitize the facility before and after each service and also protect our children.
If you prefer to watch at home we certainly understand, as the 10:45am service will be live streamed. If you would like to attend one of the Sunday morning worship services, you are welcomed. Though we do not mandate it, we do encourage you to wear a facemask when you are in the building as a precaution for you and others.
Some of our small gatherings such as Ladies Bible study on Thursday mornings will also pause for a couple of weeks. We would rather be proactive and limit services before rather than because someone got sick.
Thank you for your prayers, understanding, and flexibility as we navigate the reality of worshipping and gathering together in the midst of a pandemic.
